Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Leo is a Carnegie Mellon graduate with a BFA in Acting/Musical Theatre.  Early in his career, Leo made the decision to always strive for artistic fulfillment, never compromising his goals.  Recently, Leo achieved one of those goals: starring as the Emcee in Cabaret at Houston TUTS w/Leslie Kritzer.  With rave reviews, Leo went on to win Best Actor in Theatre Excellence in Houston for his highly acclaimed performance. 

Leo has played Riff in WEST SIDE STORY in a multitude of productions including: The Olivier Award nominated West End production (dir/choreo: Joey McKneely); The 50th Anniversary US Tour; Houston TUTS (dir/choreo: by Jerome Robbins assistant, Alan Johnson); Barrington Stage; North Carolina Theatre; The Recording Academy Honors, and the opening number of GYPSY OF THE YEAR with original Broadway stars Carol Lawrence, Chita Rivera, Mickey Calin and Ken Le Roy (honoring the original 1957 Broadway company).  Off-Broadway: Leo played rapping school bully P.J. Dunbar in WANDA’S WORLD at The 45th Street Theatre (directed by Lynne Taylor-Corbett), which is Broadway bound in 2011.   Other NYC: Barry Manilow's HARMONY (w/Brian D'Arcy James); and Going Down Swingin' (Oscar Van Zandt); BUT IM A CHEERLEADER (Clayton); and THE TAXI CABARET (Scott); all through NYMF.  Workshop/Readings:  SIGNS OF LIFE (Simon Muller); YANK! (Melanie); and PURSUIT OF PERSEPHONE (Ellis).   Tours: Billy Lawlor in 42nd STREET; Disney's ON THE RECORD; and CASPER THE MUSICAL, starring Chita Rivera. Regional: Tulsa in GYPSY, starring Patti LuPone and directed by Lonny Price (Chicago Ravinia Festival); Will Parker in OKLAHOMA!, starring Shirley Jones (Pittsburgh CLO and Casa Mañana); Jimmy Smith in THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE The Arvada Center); Ren in FOOTLOOSE (Pittsburgh Musical Theater); Billy Lawlor in 42nd STREET, starring Beth Leavel and Marc Jacoby (The MUNY); Mark in RENT (The Weston Playhouse); and Jack in INTO THE WOODS (Twin Tiers Theatre Festival).

In addition to acting and coaching for MTCA, Leo career coaches for actors.  Current clients are working with Leo on getting an agent, accessing their goals, learning how to infuse positive energy into their careers, and utilizing their tools to book them the jobs they really want.
