Mark Christine was featured in the New York Musical Festival (NYMF) show About Face, a musical version of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. The cast featured Tony nominee Barbara Walsh, Pamela Myers (who is best known as the original singer of "Another Hundred People" from Sondheim's Company), and Actors' Equity President Mark ZImmerman. Alumna and recent Northwestern grad Kathleen Arcovio will be touring throughout the fall with the Windy City Players' production of Aladdin.

Chris Peluso is starring as Chad (the Elvis character) in All Shook Up at Music Theatre of Wichita and receiving great reviews! Next up, he will be playing Marius in MTW's production of Les Miserables. MTW

Natalie Weiss did her first NYC solo concert at Splash on July 7th and less than 2 weeks later was asked to come back and do another, which will be on August 4th! Her first concert featured special guests Eden Espinosa and Zak Resnick. Check out the videos on YouTube!

Alumna Dianna Barger (Penn State '09) joins alumna Korey Buecheler in Peter Pan at the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera. Dianna will be playing a Lost Boy and Jane, Wendy's daughter - which means she gets to fly at the end of the show!

Cortney Wolfson booked the role of Serena in the upcoming 1st national tour of Legally Blonde.

Recent

Recent alumna Ali Eagle (NYU '12) performed "Man of My Dreams" from Edges in the Festival of New Musicals in LA.

Recent
alumna Olivia Ercolano (NYU '12) is in London performing as Sharpay in High School Musical with her alma mater, Baltimore School of the Arts.

Alumni Will Hughes, Amanda Kroiss, and Will Skrip (all Class of '11) were selected for Northwestern U's MT concentration after auditioning at the end of their freshmen years.

Alumna Amanda Kroiss (Northwestern '11) is a Kit Kat girl in Northwestern's production of Cabaret at the end of this month.

Alumnus Will Skrip (Class of '11) has been cast as Tobias in Northwestern's fall mainstage production of Sweeney Todd, and alumnus Matt Edmonds (Class of '10) has been cast as Judge Turpin.

Ellen Lettrich will be presenting a paper on musical theatre vocal health at the Voice Foundation's annual symposium in Philadelphia. The Voice Foundation is an international group of ENTs, speech pathologists, speech scientists, and singing teachers dedicated to voice medicine, science, and education.

Mark Christine has been cast as Luke in Altar Boyz at the Zach Scott Theatre in Austin, Texas. The show will run from June 5 - July 13. For more info, visit: http://www.zachscott.com/

Senior Dominique Bonino has been cast as Miss Dorothy in Broadway By the Bay's upcoming production of Thoroughly Modern Millie which runs July 10-27.

Seniors John Redlinger and Elizabeth Judd and junior Brett Thiele won Dallas Cappie awards for their performances in Pearce High School's production of Miss Saigon. Senior Tyler Miller was also nominated.

April 2008

Kirsten Bracken sang at Carnegie Hall as part of the New York Pops' 25th Anniversary. The evening, entitled Play to Win, was held in honor of The New York Yankees, James M. Nederlander and James L. Nederlander and helped to celebrate twenty-five years of bringing great music to New York City.

Alumna Sarah Naughton (NYU '11) has been cast as Fraulein Kost in Cabaret, the Tisch School of the Arts fall musical.

Natalie Weiss performed in a concert reading of Kerrigan and Lowdermilk's musical Tales From the Bad Years and sang at Jeremy Schonfeld's CD Release party at Birdland.

Alumna Kailie Torres (CMU '11) has been cast in The Producers at West Virginia Public Theatre. The show will run from July 29 - Aug 3.

Alumnus Andy Mientus (Michigan '09) will play the role of Huck in Big River at Music Theatre of Wichita this summer, immediately before beginning rehearsals for the First National Tour of Spring Awakening!

Alumna Ana Llewellyn (Penn State '11) was cast in 2 shows for this summer's MUNY season - The Producers and My One and Only.

Kirsten Bracken will be going on as Amber in the Broadway production of Hairspray for the entire week of March 25-30!

Natalie Weiss was asked to sing on the original cast recording of Ryan Scott Oliver's new musical Alive At 10. She played the lead role of Kimberly Sharp.

Senior Dominique Bonino was just cast as Clara in the first regional production of The Light in the Piazza with Palo Alto Players. Rehearsals start March 3. The show opens April 26 (on her birthday!) and will run through May 11.

Natalie Weiss and Cortney Wolfson are both involved in a workshop of the Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich musical adaption of the film Ever After.

Matt Scott and Kirsten Bracken will be featured in the upcoming concert of Homemade Fusion at the Zipper Factory.

Ellen Lettrich and Mary Anna Dennard will attend the 2008 Chicago Unified Auditions with a group of auditioning seniors.

January 2008

The New York Unified auditions took place at the end of the month. Mark Christine and Natalie Weiss were on hand to work with several auditioning seniors.

"Healthy High School Musical" vocal health seminar in Pittsburgh. Team members
Nick DePinto, Natalie Weiss, Mark Christine, and Charlie Murphy all contributed their skills to help promote preventitive vocal care during the stressful high school musical season. This workshop was planned and directed by Ellen Lettrich at the University of Pittsburgh Voice Center.

Senior Olivia Ercolano made a special guest appearance at the University of Pittsburgh Voice Center's Voice Rounds, a consortium of surgeons, speech pathologists, and medical singing voice specialists. Olivia joined coaches Mark Christine and Ellen Lettrich in a demonstration entitled "What is vocal coaching?"

Mark Christine and Cortney Wolfson participated in several readings and the demo recording of Not Exactly Romeo, a new musical by Paul Fujimoto and Eric Holmes.

Nick DePinto began teaching Acting at McDaniel College in Maryland for Spring semester 2008.

Mary Anna Dennard hosted the first Mental Management Seminar for auditioning seniors and their parents. The seminar helped provide the students with ways to deal with the stress of auditions, both as they prepare for college auditions and for their professional auditioning lives.

Telly Leung was cast in the lead role of Song in M Butterfly at the Philadelphia Theatre Company. This production is the Philly premiere of the play which is celebrating its 20 year anniversary.

Chris Peluso was cast as Marius in Les Miserables at the Marriot Lincolnshire in Chicago. He will be performing the role from February-May.

Natalie Weiss performed in multiple concert events this month. First, she sang in Scott Alan's concert at Birdland with Liz Callaway, Shoshana Bean, and more. She also be sang as part of the Monday Nights, New Voices concert series at The Duplex, performing the songs of Jonathan Reid Gealt.
