Born and Raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Leo is Carnegie Mellon
graduate, with a BFA in Acting/Musical Theatre. As an
actor, Leo can be seen as Riff in the upcoming production
of West Side Story at North Carolina Musical Theatre.
Previous times playing Riff have included the 2009 Olivier
Award-nominated West End production, the 50th Anniversary
US Tour and at Houston TUTS (directed and choreographed by
Alan Johnson), Barrington Stage, The Recording Academy
Honors, and dancing in the opening number of GYPSY OF THE
YEAR (honoring the original Broadway cast). Off-Broadway:
Leo played bad boy, P.J. Dunbar in Wanda's World at The
45th Street Theatre (directed by Lynne Taylor-Corbett),
Signs of Life (Simon Muller) at The Actors Playhouse, Yank!
(Melanie) at The York, and I Prefer To Dream at The Triad.
Other NYC: Barry Manilow's Harmony w/ Brian D'Arcy James,
and Going Down Swingin' (Oscar Van Zandt), But I'm A
Cheerleader (Clayton), and The Taxi Cabaret (Scott) all in
NYMF. Tours: Billy Lawlor in 42nd Street, Disney's On The
Record, and Casper the Musical, starring Chita Rivera.
Regional: Tulsa in Gypsy, starring Patti LuPone, directed
by Lonny Price (Chicago Ravinia Festival). Will Parker in
Oklahoma!, starring Shirley Jones (Pittsburgh CLO and Casa
Mañana), Jimmy Smith in Thoroughly Modern Millie (The
Arvada Center), Ren in Footloose (Pittsburgh Musical
Theater), Billy Lawlor in 42nd Street, starring Beth Leavel
and Marc Jacoby (The MUNY), The Emcee in Cabaret (Houston
TUTS), and Mark in Rent (Weston Playhouse). In addition to
acting and coaching for MTCA, Leo career coaches for
actors. Leo caters each coaching to his client. Some
current clients are working with Leo on getting an agent,
accessing their goals, learning how to market and network
themselves, and how to feed a positive attitude into
