Monologues

Originally from Pittsburgh, Adria attended Penn State University where she got her B.F.A. in musical theater.  After moving to NYC and then tooling around the country doing a couple of national tours, she made her way to New Haven, CT where she got her M.F.A. in acting from the Yale School of Drama.  On the stages of YSD, Adria played roles such as Natalya in A MONTH IN THE COUNTRY, The Princess of France in LOVE LABOR’S LOST, Portia in THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, Ingrid in PEER GYNT, and Marfa and Natasha in a brand new adaptation of Chekov shorts called RUBLES.  At the Yale Cabaret, Adria had the opportunity to perform as Ronnette in LITTLE SHOPS OF HORRORS and Gail in the musical THE DO-OVER. She also had the extreme pleasure of originating the role of Olga in THE THREE SISTERS OR A DORMOUSE’S TALE, a new musical.  Additionally, she performed in and understudied the role of Natasha in ROUGH CROSSING at the Yale Repertory Theater.

Regionally, Adria has worked at Kansas City Rep (Cherie in BUS STOP) and Arkansas Rep (Caroline Cushing in FROST/NIXON).

In addition, Adria has had the pleasure of teaching high school students text analysis, Shakespeare, movement, scene study, and monologue classes at the Act One Theatre School in Pittsburgh, PA which is where she began studying theatre herself at the age of 13.
