Monologues
Originally
from Pittsburgh, Adria attended Penn State University where
she got her B.F.A. in musical theater. After moving
to NYC and then tooling around the country doing a couple
of national tours, she made her way to New Haven, CT where
she got her M.F.A. in acting from the Yale School of Drama.
On the stages of YSD, Adria played roles such as
Natalya in A MONTH IN THE COUNTRY, The Princess of France
in LOVE LABOR’S LOST, Portia in THE MERCHANT OF VENICE,
Ingrid in PEER GYNT, and Marfa and Natasha in a brand new
adaptation of Chekov shorts called RUBLES. At the
Yale Cabaret, Adria had the opportunity to perform as
Ronnette in LITTLE SHOPS OF HORRORS and Gail in the musical
THE DO-OVER. She also had the extreme pleasure of
originating the role of Olga in THE THREE SISTERS OR A
DORMOUSE’S TALE, a new musical. Additionally, she
performed in and understudied the role of Natasha in ROUGH
CROSSING at the Yale Repertory Theater.
Regionally, Adria has worked at Kansas City Rep (Cherie in
BUS STOP) and Arkansas Rep (Caroline Cushing in
FROST/NIXON).
In addition, Adria has had the pleasure of teaching high
school students text analysis, Shakespeare, movement, scene
study, and monologue classes at the Act One Theatre School
in Pittsburgh, PA which is where she began studying theatre
herself at the age of 13.
