Megan
was born and raised in Apollo, PA, and received a BFA in
musical theatre from Penn State University. She was
in the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State, and graduated
as Marshall of the College of Arts and Architecture; an
honor which is awarded to the student with the highest
GPA.
She
recently performed in the new Bob Martin/Charles Strouse
musical MINSKY’S in Los Angeles. She was a swing on
the first national tour of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, where she
covered and performed the principal roles of Janet Van De
Graaf and Kitty. She also played Serena Katz in the
South Korean Tour of FAME. Regionally, she played
Peggy Sawyer in 42nd STREET (Tuacahn Center for the Arts),
Sandy in GREASE (Marriott Theatre, Lincolnshire and
Carousel Dinner Theatre), and Liesl in "The Sound of Music"
(Helen Hayes Theatre Company). Other regional theatre
experiences include performing in two summer seasons at
Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, AIDA and THE MUSIC MAN at
Sacramento Music Circus, and 42nd STREET at The Walnut
Street Theatre in Philadelphia, PA.
In June 2010, Megan will be playing Janet Van De Graaf in
THE DROWSY CHAPERONE at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine.
And on August 1, 2010, Megan will be playing the role of
beautiful bride as she marries her fiance, Matt
Hydzik!
