“I
had no idea that the musical theater audition
process would be so daunting... I had no idea
how MTCA could make that process so much less
so. From helping with the large task of
creating a realistic college list to my smaller
requests of reviewing my son's resume,
repertoire list, and audition outfit MTCA was
there for us.
I
never actually saw the "MTCA sorting hat" but I
sure did see it at work! How Logan was matched
up with his monologue coach Leo and his vocal
coach Mark could not have been more perfect! He
Skyped for several of his vocal and monologue
sessions... I listened through the door (!) as
both the songs and monologues were dissected
and every single phrase turned and perfected.
It was an absolutely amazing process.
He was complimented at every audition how his
songs and monologues were perfect for him.
Logan had a tremendous amount of confidence
going into every audition knowing that he was
completely prepared, and prepared in a way that
we could never have managed by ourselves. I am
so grateful for all the MTCA coaches (we met
many more at the invaluable mock auditions) and
have much love and respect for Ellen, Leo and
Mark.”

“Working with MTCA is like having a GPS for college auditions. They could always tell us where we were and where we needed to be.”

“You
weren’t just a coach for our daughter,
you were a confidante, a cheerleader, and
someone she could count on to be dead honest
with her at every turn. You pulled no punches
and gave us real guidance, counsel, and
recommendations”
Lynda Fairbrother, mother of
Kelly Fairbrother - Ithaca Acting
“MTCA
saved me from the stress and anxiety of college

“I ended
up getting into my top choice
school for acting, and now feel
comfortable using what we worked on for
professional auditions as well. We broke
personal barriers that helped develop not only
my pieces but myself as an
actor.”

“Without
MTCA, I truly don't think I could have gotten
through college auditions (at least not without
losing my sanity). I consider my MTCA coaches
my mentors and my extended
family!”

“Charlie
was patient and kind to me even in the most
difficult moments - through tears, self doubt,
and rejection letters. He is kind of like an
older brother to me now, and I will always
remember the amazing lessons I learned from him
through coaching this year.
The thing that I loved most about MTCA is that
they made me feel like I was the only student
they were coaching. I had the pleasure of
working with Ellen, Mark, Charlie, Leo and
Adria in various situations over the past two
years, and all of them took so much time and
effort to make my audition material the best it
could possibly be. Ellen and her team are
absolutely wonderful. They care deeply about
each and every one of their students and work
around the clock to insure every student’s
success.
College auditions can be an incredibly
stressful time - but I can honestly say that I
am sad to see them go, because it means that I
won’t get the pleasure of working with MTCA as
frequently. MTCA has truly been like a family
to me, there for me through all of my ups and
downs of the past few years. I recommend MTCA
to everyone. If you want to have the best
audition experience of your life, meet amazing
faculty, and bond with students like you, then
you have to work with MTCA. It’s the easiest
decision you could possibly make in this crazy
college audition process.”

“I
have been incredibly blessed throughout this
college process, and a huge part of that is due
to what I have learned in my sessions with Leo,
Ellen, and the other amazingly talented and
driven coaches of MTCA.
The coaching I received at MTCA made me feel
extremely prepared for my auditions. I had an
extremely diverse repertoire, filled with fun
and challenging songs and monologues that I had
continuously worked on with Ellen and Leo. So
when it came time to put it all on the line in
the actual auditions, I knew I was prepared,
and that level of preparation provided a huge
boost to my confidence in my auditions.
MTCA also provides an incredible support
network that proves to be invaluable during
this extremely trying process. I had MTCA to
lean on when doubts, worries, or nerves crept
into my mind, and for that I am extremely
grateful.
I highly recommend MTCA for any and all
students who wish to pursue theatre or musical
theatre in college; I honestly don’t know what
I would have done without Leo, Ellen, and all
of the other coaches guiding me on this
important journey. Thank you so much
MTCA!!”

“We needed help with our journey to get into a MT program and MTCA came through big time. Every step of the way, from school choices, audition preparation and strategy, MTCA helped me out as a parent.”

“Working
with MTCA was the smartest decision I could
have made. Rhyn made me believe in myself
whenever I didn’t. She pushed me and never once
lost faith in me. Telly was an amazing
coach. He really helped me dig deep
into the text and sing from my heart. He
helped me with my confidence which, in the end,
helped me immensely.”

“MTCA was a huge help in preparing me for the daunting college audition process. The teachers' knowledge of the audition process and the requirements of each school is unlike any other college audition training program I have tried.”

“There
are no words to describe how very grateful I am
for the entire MTCA crew! Over the course
of a year and a half I watched my daughter
transform in self-confidence and self-awareness
through her work with MTCA. Their passion
and genuine love for each student, along with a
commitment to excellent work
is unparalleled.”

“We knew
from the beginning that getting into a good
musical theatre program was very
competitive. I did my homework
on-line and found
MTCA. From the first moment we met Ellen,
Mark and Leo, we knew that the decision to
use a MTCA was a good
decision.”
Cheryl Banning, mother of

“I owe
my future to Leo and the rest of MTCA, and I
don’t care if that’s overly sappy. I really
can’t thank you guys enough.”

“MTCA’s
coaching was not only helpful in gaining a
college acceptance. We are certain
that our daughter’s life has been influenced in
a positive direction by working with
professionals that validated and respected her
as a young performer. Many teachers
and coaches could teach but both Anne and Leo
have been great positive role
models. They share of themselves
giving young performers a positive outlook in a
very competitive field. We are
extremely grateful that our daughter worked
with such quality individuals.
I highly recommend MTCA and their
coaches.”

“I’ve
come a long way from that quivering, nervous
high school junior that my coaches at MTCA
first met. Over the past year, my talent has
been maximized in ways I did not think possible
and my growth as an individual has been
unmistakable. Again, all thanks to the
help of my coaches.
My advice? Join the MTCA family as early as
possible. The rewards are amazing and it’s
never too soon to embark on this difficult but
gratifying process. However, also realize that
nothing will ever be handed to you and at the
end of the day, YOU determine your own success.
This can be, at times, a devastating process
that precedes an even more devastating
business. Trust yourself. You are your
biggest advocate. Absorb everything you can
learn from coaches and mentors but be ready to
make your own decisions and be your own self.
MTCA allowed me to do that and I will always be
grateful for that.
Remember with the right amount of guidance and
hard work, you too can find tremendous success.
Perhaps even success that you could not
possibly have dreamed of!”

“MTCA
has been such a life saver to me, and my family
to an extent you'll never know. The knowledge
and passion for what you do is incredible and I
have never felt more ready for auditions in my
entire life. This program made me realize my
full potential as well as what I need to work
on, but most importantly it reassured me that I
chose the right career to go into. I'm sure my
mom emailed you already but I will be in NYC to
perform at "The Jimmies", and I just want to
say I couldn't have done it without you. What I
learned from all of you, I will carry with me
for the rest of my life. This experience has
been life changing and has made me fall in love
with theater all over again. Thank you so much
for inspiring me, helping, me, sharing your
knowledge with me, and being amazing people.
You have left your mark on my lives, I will
never forget you as well as what you taught me,
and thank you for making my dreams a reality.
Love you guys so much.”

“MTCA
takes a complex and confusing process and helps
you and your child navigate through it. From
your first contact with them, the MTCA team
views your child as a unique and special
individual. They are able to assess your
child’s strengths and place them with
compatible coaches.
MTCA breeds a team atmosphere of friendship and
support. We really enjoyed meeting other MTCA
families as we traveled to our auditions.
MTCA is not a business but a family overseen by
the amazing matriarch Ellen Lettrich. Ellen’s
primary goal is to see your child grow, succeed
and have fun. My daughter had a wonderfully
successful audition experience and is thrilled
to be heading off to Ball State as a Musical
Theatre major.
We cannot imagine having journeyed through this
process without our MTCA family and
friends.”

“When
I began my preparation process for auditions, I
was extremely uncomfortable with straight
acting. As an aspiring musical theatre major, I
adored acting a song, singing, and dancing, but
when it can to straight acting, I couldn't be
more frightened. Using their expertise, the
MTCA team set me up with Adria who ended up
being the perfect acting coach for me. I could
not have fathomed how much I would grow in her
and the rest of the team's care.
You can only imagine my shock as someone who
didn't believe in her acting chops at all a few
short months ago when I was suddenly bombarded
with wonderful acting compliments from the
schools I was auditioning for. I would have
never imagined I would end up extremely happy
as an acting major.
I have no doubt that the MTCA team will be
great friends and colleagues in the future for
not only me, but all their students. I couldn't
have asked for more from the MTCA team. They
were professional, helpful, and most of all
kind and supportive. Becoming an MTCA student
was one of the best decisions of my
life.”

“Even for someone well-versed in the theatre audition world, the college audition process can be so confusing and overwhelming. MTCA was helpful and encouraging every step of the way. MTCA is such a warm and welcoming family that I am so lucky to be a part of.”

“Now
that the auditions are long over and my college
decision has been made, I wanted to drop you
this brief note of thanks for all the
work you did to help me prepare - it really
helped. I will never forget the warmth and
joy that I experienced during the whole
coaching process.”
